At the risk of having your kids spend the rest of the summer lulling around your new Tulsa home, wishing they were back at their old house with all of their friends, playing games outside – try something new instead.
Once your Tulsa movers finish unloading the last of your moving boxes, grab your kids and get ready to spend the rest of August hearing stories about all of the exciting activities they did with the new Tulsa friends they met.
Since All My Sons Moving & Storage has been moving families in for the past 20 years, they know a thing or two about fun activities to do in Tulsa. Take a look and get ready to have fun crossing off all of these August events in Tulsa off your summer list.
I AM Yoga, Art & Music Festival
Open to all ages, with free entry, the I AM Yoga, Art & Music Festival has yoga disciplines such as: restorative yoga, anti-gravity yoga, and Budokon yoga for yogis of all skill-levels to try. Other features are: a bounce house and an obstacle course, the kid’s zone for art activities, circus, fashion, music, yoga and more, on both August 15th and August 16th.
Pow Wow of Champions
What better way to get to know your new community, than by learning about the original culture? From August 14th to August 16th, head over to the Mabee Center to enjoy dance, drum music and songs from various Native American tribe members. Tulsa movers also say that it is a great place to check out an extensive collection of contemporary and traditional jewelry, artwork, beadwork, paintings and other handcrafted items.
IndiaFest
Showcasing India’s colorful cultural diversity, on August 29th take a break from your move to Tulsa and bring the whole family to enjoy a variety of dance, musical and fashion performances, all inspired by the Indian culture. Peruse the isles of booths representing different states of India, indulge in the many spice-laden foods, and let your kids dress up in their favorite Indian outfit before unleashing them in the photo booth.
